Before and After Bedroom Dresser

I'm going to do a weekend post too, I just couldn't muster the energy yesterday, Brent was outta town and it was just one of those days.....

But this weekend I switched out dressers in my bedroom to go along with the rest of the room redo! One new thing gets me going on all kinds of other stuff in the room!

This is the before! My old white dresser I bought when I first moved out of my mom's house don't let the cute dog and candle throw you off ;) It was definitely to short!

Here is the after!

Much better don't ya think? I may or may not be changing out the pulls I really haven't decided yet. You may have noticed the mirror on the floor, I took it off the stand (as you can see in the first picture) I think I am going to paint the frame white and hang it next to the dresser, kinda different but that's how I roll :)

This was my grandma's old dresser and I am so happy to have it!

Head Board Help!

Our master bedroom as been pretty neglected for uh er almost 3 years now, sad but true. We moved in with what we had and didn't put much thought or worry into "our" room. But now that I have the rest of the house squared away, it's never "done" around here I want to really focus on making our room comfortable and very usable. Getting new bedding has my head a spinnin and I can't wait to add more to it!

We pretty much have everything we want furniture wise. Brent has his dresser from his Granny that he loves, I have my new nightstand, and his bedside table works great, with the t.v. now hung on the wall I want to get a better dresser for myself, just something taller, and we have a small chair by the window that will stay until baby #2. So now I just need to figure out the whole headboard situation. We have never had a headboard so I am working with nothing! I don't want a bedroom suite so I just want to find something that I love for us, it doesn't have to be new but it does have to be comfortable! And building something is not out of the question, I have super hubby ;)

Love this! But I could see Lucas jumping on the bed and hitting this and it falling down.

Love Love Love this one!

This was the idea we have always had, kinda plain though.....

I like this, it's different and I'm not sure I could pull it off.

Another one we had always thought we wanted.

Absolutely love this, not so sure Brent would agree though.

Really love this gate idea but again not sure it's the best option for a bunch of jumping littles!

OK now your thoughts? Any suggestions? Do tell!!
