Wednesday Night.

This week I started back in the Church nursery on Wednesday nights! I am so happy to get to do this and to spend time with the women in there, they are such godly examples for me. I have to say I was a little apprehensive about returning this year I was suffering from a case of mommy guilt. I am glad I am not the only one, this post let me know that.

You see before the summer "break" started when we (Lucas and I) would go the nursery on Wednesday evenings he was so unhappy, he didn't want to be without me, that was our time. I felt terrible thinking he has been is school all day and now I'm taking him to another school like setting where he is with other kids and "teachers" and not at home with mommy and daddy. I would hear him crying down the hall when I would leave him.

I got a letter from Tonia on Monday and had pretty much made up my mind that I was not going to serve this time around, I went to bed thinking I would get with Tonia and tell her my plans. Well Wednesday rolled around and I still hadn't got in touch with her so I started thinking about it again and I just had a push to just go! I know who it was from ;) I started telling myself it's only for an hour and half and Lucas may like it better since he will be in the preschool part with the "older" kids and they get to go outside and they do some coloring and craft type things.

So we went.

And Lucas had a great night as did I! I am so glad we went I just love seeing those babies and having the ladies to talk to and learn from. AND I feel so blessed that Lucas has somewhere to go and learn about Jesus and have friends who are in church and teachers that really care. I have wanted that for so long.

So thank you Tonia for the letter and serving ice cream and cobbler so Lucas would be excited and thank you nursery ladies for always making me feel so welcome and loved and a huge thank you to Him for not giving up on me once again.

I am so blessed.

Slow Weekend

We did a whole bunch of nothing this weekend and it was fantastic!

Friday night we went to visit my new little nephew "Way Way" as Lucas calls him. They were still in the hospital so it was a short visit. I didn't take any pictures actually I didn't take very many all weekend.

Saturday we didn't do a thing! We didn't even leave the house! My friend Desiree came over to visit and catch up but that was all. I made meatloaf and mashed taters for dinner and that was it! Ha!

Sunday we got up early and went to Church!! I was so excited Brent finally said he would go! Lucas had a good time in the nursery, no tears! We went to a Sunday School class and then to the service ~ Funny Story- I rear ended a lady coming out of Wal-Mart last weekend (I know so bad of me, it was def a accident, I looked away for a second!) well after everything was worked out, she was so nice and didn't call the police or my insurance company, Brent will fix her car for her. She invited us to her Sunday School class. Mind you this was at the same Church that Jessica has been trying to get us to for months now! So I told Brent about it and he was up for it! I was so excited! We really had a great time the class was good and the service was awesome! We will defiantly be back next week!
After the service we went to lunch with Jessica and her family we had a great time! And Lucas did pretty well, taking him out to eat doesn't happen much but it was really nice!

We came home Sunday and took a nap and when we woke up it was snowing!! Yay! I love snow! Lucas did not have school yesterday either because of the snow so I stayed home with him and Brent took the day off as well. We did nothing once again took a nap and that was the highlight of the day!

All in all we had a relaxing weekend to say the least!

Full Weekend, No Pictures!

So we had a pretty busy weekend.

Friday Brent went out of town to look at a car so it was just Lucas and I we had hotdogs and marshmallows for dinner, his favorites! We watched cartoons until daddy came home!

Saturday we had a Olivia's first birthday party to go to! Miranda (her mommy) did an amazing job with all the food and decorations! It was "Yo Gabba Gabba" theme and it turned out amazing! Three tiered cake and all! I am so mad at myself for not having my camera, my mom had hers so I need to get what she has and post them. Lucas had a blast there was tons of balloons and kids to play with! We even left with some of Miranda's awesome cake balls!

Saturday night Brent surprised me with a "Date Night" those are few and far between for us so I was really excited! We went and ate at El Chico and then went into the mall scouting out Lucas a suit to wear for his Christmas Program at school. That was an adventure to say the least! We ended up finding exactly what he needed but it was way more than I'd like to spend on a toddler outfit that he will be wearing for one song! And let me remind you he still needed some shoes! We found at another store what he needed and half the price of the other place but they were out of his size! I was not happy! After a few more rounds around the mall and the "O my gosh it's 9 o'clock" we decided we better just buy the one we knew would work, so we did. I can honestly say I believe things happen for a reason because on the way home Brent and I talked about how truly blessed we are,and how we I don't need to stress about finances, that we are fine and way more than provided for, We need to be thankful for what we have. Because when I get stressed I have a way of making everyone around me unhappy, I don't know why, coping mechanism maybe? I don't know, we talked a lot about that. So that was my "relaxing" date night! Ha!

Sunday we (Lucas and I) had another birthday party and a baby shower to go to! Lucas had fun at both, I am so glad to have a baby that LOVES people, he can have a good time just about anywhere that someone will pay him attention and he got it on Sunday!
After the shower we had to rush home and get ready for a play that the First Baptist Church in Greenwood was putting on. My sweet friend Jessica got us tickets and she was also in the play. It was a wonderful performance of "A Christmas Carol!" They had great people for the parts and the costumes and sets were good too! I am so glad we went it opened up a great conversation between Brent and I last night! Lucas went to a family fish fry with his grandparents so I kinda got two date nights with my husband all to myself this weekend! Score!!

All in all we had a great one! Hope you did too!
