Weekend Things!

I've been the worst momma lately with pictures! I just never seem to get any anymore! Need to be better at that for sure!
We had lots of summer fun this weekend!
Friday we stayed home and Luke and I played in the pool while Brent made dinner on the grill.
Brent and  I watched The Call with Halle Berry in it and it was freaky!

Saturday we all slept in almost til 11! Then got up and around and went to Chilis for lunch and then to see Despicable Me 2. It was pretty cute.
After that we ran to Target, Old Navy, and Bed Bath and Beyond to run some errands.
Then home for more pool time and grilling!
That night we watched Cloud Atlus and it was really hard for me to follow but I think Brent was ok with it.

Sunday we had parties all. day. long! It was wild and crazy and hectic!
We started the day at Eviee's 2nd birthday!

Lucas loved swimming with all the kids!

Luke and the birthday girl!

After we left there we headed to Mema's so I could drop Luke off with her. I went to get my first ever massage (which was glorious! and I may be hooked. For real!) Luke went with Mema to a Thirty One party. He had fun playing at Brayden's house. I met them there once I was done.

Then we went to Emma and Wyatt's (kids from tball) party at the country club here in Greenwood. That was so fun! The pool is huge and lots of space to spread out! Kinda considering having a party there myself!

Lots of fun! Lots of friends! And now I am exhausted and still trying to catch up from Sunday! ha!
Hope your weekend was great!

Skate Party Weekend!

We had a fun weekend! Lucas is just hilarious and everywhere we go he is so much fun! I just really can't get over it :)

Friday night we went to dinner and a movie! ha!

Dinner was at BurgerKing!

And the movie was Madagascar 3 or "move it, move it" as we call it! ha!  We've been trying to get to this movie forever and we finally did!

Waiting on the movie to start!
Luke did pretty good but close to the end he was getting tired and asked to go home but we waited it out and made it all the way though.

Saturday we had Bentley's birthday party at the skating rink! I was very excited to see how Luke liked skating!

Headed to the party, spoiled rotten watching a movie on the way!

The party was so much fun! The kids could skate or play in the bounce house or just run around. It was a closed party so only our size kiddos were there so that was good!

He skated a little bit but once he saw the bouncy house that was it, he stayed in there the rest of the time until the dancing started. They did the Hokey Pokey and the chicken dance and Luke won the best dancer award! Surprise surprise! This kid loves to dance :)

After the party he went to Mema's house for a little bit and I went to Target for some alone time shopping! So great!
After that we headed home and got ready to go to my uncles house for dinner we stayed there until after 10 and we were exhausted!

Sunday we planned on hanging around the house and cleaning, laundry, and organizing stuff but Brent got called to work so I cleaned house and did laundry and made meatloaf for dinner when Brent got home.

It was a great weekend and I can't wait for the next!

Weekend Round-Up!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I sure did, spent a lot of time with my 2 favorite guys and a little bit of time with the girls, couldn't have been better!

Friday I hosted a "Favorite Things" party, It's kind of like Oprah's favorite things show, but not!ha!

I invited 8 ladies and had them bring 7 of their most used or favorite thing/item/product.
We had quite the assortment and it was really a lot of fun! I had us play some games and we ate snacks of course and got to catch up. It was nice and different than your run of the meal dirty santa party. I am planning on doing it again next year!

My view from my spot on the couch, Love my tree!

Also my new Tano came in this weekend, it is the "Shopper" style I am usually a "Boogie Bucket" girl but thought I'd try something new :) I love the mix of black and brown, I have a real phobia of wearing black and brown together but this bag is gorgeous and I think I could get out of that mind set! ha!

I got gifted some old mason jars so I washed them up this weekend, I just love mason jars can't wait to do something with these.

Saturday we got all bundled up to go ride the train at the park, well I guess everyone in the tri-county had the same idea because when we got there the line was all the way though the park! It would have been at least a 3 hour wait I could not believe it so we went and did the next best thing Chick-fil-a and Toys r us! Lucas went to sleep on the way home he was so worn out!

Sunday we cleaned out the garage so I can park my new baby in out of the cold ;)

We also did a ton of eating this weekend, o my word! I am fattening us up big time but I made the best potato soup EVER! And it was so easy!

Potato Soup

8 potatoes

2 cups chicken broth

2 cups water

1 onion

salt

pepper

3 tablespoons of minced garlic

1/2 block of cream cheese

and some seasoning salt

Peel and cube your potatoes and put them in the crockpot with your water, broth, cut up onion, garlic, pepper, salt, and seasoning salt. Let all that cook on low for ehhh 6 to 8 hours.

Then I took my hand mixer and kind of pureed the mixture and added the cream cheese. Let it cook down for about 30 minutes and your done!

SO GOOD!

We garnished with bacon crumbles and cheese.

Have a great week!

A snake, a baby, and 2 parties!

I know crazy title!!

So Thursday evening about 7 I walked out into my kitchen and noticed Chip the cat was playing with something in the bottom of my curtains, I didn't think much of it until I saw it slither out! A snake! O my word I didn't know what to do! I think for a full minute I just stood there watching it, I watched it until it went under my oven! Then I thought O gosh where's Lucas! I picked him up and thought " How am I going to get Lucas and Chloe the dog to the car when all I have on is a t-shirt"! Ha that's pretty funny that my first thought was to get to the car and go to mom's house, mind you Brent was out of town (of course) I went to grab my phone to call mom and tell her we were on our way but my phone was over next to the oven! I was so freaked out at this point I put Lucas on the couch and ran as fast as I could to grab it and get back over to Lucas! I called mom, no answer, so I called Brent and he said to call his dad to come over and take care of it " O duh! Why didn't I think of that" So I called my father in law ( who always is the one to have to take care of my unwanted critters while Brent is away) and he came over and we looked and looked and looked. Pulled out the oven, turned it on, looked in the cabinets, looked everywhere we could think of and nothing.

But Brent got home Friday night and him and a guy from work tore the kitchen and garage and found this little guy! He wasn't harmful but we didn't want him in the house! Eric took him and let him go somewhere on his way home. Thank you Eric!!

Chip on snake patrol on Friday!

I am so glad that is over!

Saturday morning I got to go see this little cutie!

Eviee Rae was born Thursday evening weighing 6 lbs 10 oz

She was so sweet I held her for an hour! New babies are the best!

Thursday I got all the Thirty-One stuff in! I loved all my stuff so I had to share :)

Birdy bag with 30 cards, manicure case, compact mirror, and thermal flat iron case.

Brent's thermal lunch bag.

Laundry Bag

Huge tote!

Cosmetic bag that also doubles as a Bible case.

I love this bag! I originally got it for cleaning supplies but decided to take it to the race track on Saturday and it was great! It held all our 'dry' snacks and changes of clothes. All the pockets on the side are so great! I can see this bag being used for all kinds of events! Not sure if you can read it or not but in white it says "Super Mom"

I got all that stuff for a little less than $50!

Friday evening one of the play group girls had a Pampered Chef party! It was so so fun! I am really loving those girls and can't wait to see them again.

I got.....

The trifle bowl, that middle comes out and can be used as a stand to make it a more fancy bowl! So cute!

Quick Stir Pitcher, whatever you are making can be stirred up in the pitcher without using a spoon!

And there was a special spend $60 and you get this collapsible bowl free! Awesome!

I can't wait to get this stuff in! Thanks Stephanie!
