It's FRIDAY!!

It has been a hard week y'all! I guess every week back after vacation is. We have also had had some fun stuff but I am ready for the weekend!

First off my truck has been in the shop all week with no signs of her coming home, to say I am heartbroken is a little dramatic but it's pretty much how I feel. I have been driving Brent's tank of a truck that he uses to pull his racecar trailer and by tank I mean TANK. The poor Sonic lady had to nearly throw me my corn dog the other day. I gave her a good tip because I felt so bad and that was my last trip to Sonic this week so maybe me driving "big white" isn't SO bad. But I am still ready to get my Tahoe home I miss the heated seats and my satellite radio. Ok I'll stop! ha!

I added a few more fall pretties around the house. I need more pumpkins, gotta do that this weekend for sure!

I ordered these mums from a preschool fundraiser and my word they are HUGE! I had no idea how big they would be but they are so pretty!

Picked up Lucas a new big brother shirt! I was going to use this as the big "revel" but I liked our beach picture better so he will wear this to the big ultrasound day and at the hospital and any other baby related thingy. He was very excited that it had his name on it but was a little disappointed that I didn't put his last name as well. He is so funny!

Lucas and I broke out the Halloween decorations! We've been watching Halloween movies for a few weeks now but finally put up some fun stuff! He had so much fun putting spiders around and then he drew the spider to put on the fridge :) 

These two have become inseparable! Oh my word. Lucas is all about daddy when he is around which has really worked out well for me. ha! Brent was out of town last night for the first time since we've been back and I was kinda worried how Luke would take it but he really did good. Just fell right back into our normal routine.

And this has been stuck to me since we've been home! He is the sweetest dog but such a mess at the same time!

I did get to watch some shows this week that I was excited about. Teen mom (hate me) and Brent and I have been long awaiting the new American Horror story. I even squeezed in an episode of Catfish!


Got a few boot days in this week! It was perfect coming home from the beach and being able to wear boots the next day!

Ordered the first big baby purchase! Was hoping it would make it more real but it still isn't..... This will go perfect in our bedroom and will be cute for either gender. (only 39 days to go!!!) I love the smaller size and how simple it is.

Tonight we are going to eat dinner with my parents (that feels weird to say lol) at Marketplace! I have been wanting to eat there all week! I already know what I'm having chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans! Eeeek can't wait!

Thursday Tidbits!

• I can't believe it's already Thursday again! This summer is going by so fast!! This week feels like a deja vu of last week that's for sure, Brent's been out of town and Luke and I have been going to school/work and swimming and watching t.v. Summer time musts :)

• I am counting down the days until we leave for Branson! 12 days!! Can. Not. Wait.

• I didn't post anything about our weekend. We didn't do a whole lot but we did go see Turbo and we got Netflix!

• Let me just say I am loving Netflix! I'm sad we didn't do this sooner. I've been watching The Secret Life of the American Teenager (hate me) and I just love watching a bunch of episodes in a row and I'm finding movies I'd never heard of! Just wish there was a 'Lifetime' move section! ha!

• I know you are thinking wow this girl needs a life. LOL!

• I got this pretty picture of Cooper last night. He is such a sweet dog and Lucas' best friend.

• Pool time is the best!

                I had no idea that this whale was going to be so big! It looks hilarious in our little pool!  

• I made Luke some Kool-Aid the other day because I don't think he'd ever had it before. I had forgotten how seriously yummy kool-aid is! And brings me back to my childhood.

• Got to see sweet Emmy the other night. She is growing so fast!

• My flower bed is looking so good with all this rain! My hydrangeas are loving it!

Memoral Day Weekend!

We had a fun weekend around these parts!

Saturday night we had some friends over for dinner, Brent's best friend Timmy and his girlfriend Amy. They have the sweetest little girl Caroline.

Her and Luke had a blast playing together.

She was kinda worried at first but realized Lucas is a pretty good driver.

Lucas even let her drive for a minute, they were SO funny. I can see a glimpse of my future right there in that picture. Goodness.

Then they came inside and watched some cartoons before Caroline had to leave.

We all had fun catching up and hanging out. I hope we can do it again soon!

But Luke and I went to the Zoo with some friends!

After the zoo we kept tradition and went to the Mickey Mouse store then to play at the mall play area.

Then headed down the way to Cracker Barrel before our drive home. It was a fun fun day!

                     I was sunburned and my feet hurt but we had a blast!

Yesterday day we didn't do much at all. Stayed home and played and relaxed. Brent mowed the yard and I did some laundry. My mom and dad came down for a bit and that was nice.

Cooper and Lucas wrestled (is that how you say it?) all afternoon. It's pretty hilarious.

 

All of this while remembering our freedom isn't free. I am very thankful to all the service men and women who keep this country safe.



Thursday Tidbits {On a Friday}

• We had a snow day at home yesterday so I didn't get around to posting but still have a lot going on so wanted to do a post :)
• Tomorrow is Luke's big day! His party. His actual birthday is Monday so we will have a whole weekend of celebrations!
• I am trying SO very hard not to be sad about him turning 4. FOUR! Can you believe it? I seriously cannot wrap my mind around that. Ugh!
• Luke has really got in to drawing this past month so I made him a little caddy for all his 'art' supplies and it can stay on our coffee table. I thought it was pretty cute!

• Brent was out of town a lot this week and with the snow we've had a ton of time at home which hasn't been all bad.

• Snow Day! Wednesday I got the call around noon that school was closing because of the weather, that was fine by me! I went to get Luke and he immediately wanted to go out and play in it. He stayed outside or a really long time. I watched most of the time threw the door.

Love our house covered in snow and this cold weather makes me so grateful for a warm home.

• Since we were home early Wednesday with no place to go I started on Luke's party decor. Those are dinos and that is red not pink! :)
• School was closed again on Thursday so we stayed in our jammies all morning then ventured out in the afternoon to get all the final goodies for the party!

• Yesterday Lucas demanded I take his picture with Cooper! Cooper looks very unsure of the whole situation. ha!

• AND yesterday Lucas go his hair cut! We've wanted to for a few weeks now since the last lady we went to gave him a bob. So yesterday when daddy got home we went and did it! He looks so handsome. But I'm already longing for it to grow out again.

• I am going today to sign him up for tball this summer! I never thought I'd be one to put my 4 year old in organized activities but I just can't help myself. I think it will be so much fun for all of us :)

• Tonight on the agenda is going to eat at Las Americas (have y'all ever ate there, delicious!) then maybe take Lucas to do something fun! Eeek what a fun weekend we have in store!

WordyWednesday!

I know I've already had one picture of my brown dog on here this week but I cannot resist!

When I got Cooper I kind of did it on a whim. It was this time last year and I wanted Luke to have 'his' very own dog. So I thought what better valentines gift to both of my boys than a dog that 'they' could take care of. Gosh who was I kidding!! I won't ever do that again! ha!

Lucas was still so little he had no understanding of dog care, obviously and Brent was not very happy that I surprised him with a living thing that we had not discussed so after all was said and done,

I had got myself another dog.

Of course both of them loved Cooper, he was so sweet and little, calm and sleepy. But fast forward a few weeks and he was a biting, pooping, chewing machine. I had conveniently forgotten this part of puppyhood. There were so many days I almost gave up, found him another home but I just kept plugging along.

And I am sure glad I kept him in our little family. He has become such a good dog, besides the once in while chewing, he is just the sweetest thing. He loves Lucas to pieces, is always up for snuggling, and is a very fast learner.

I have become very fond of our chocolate baby and I hope he is with us for many many years :)
