Thursday Tidbits!

• I have been quite neglectful of my blog this summer. I have no good reason why just haven't been much in the 'writing' mood. We have had some very rough weeks lately and I will be glad when life gets back to our 'normal'.

• Luke started Pre-K this week! I cannot believe my sweet BABY is in his last year of pre-school! It just doesn't seem right!

• We took Lucas up to Lokomotion in Fayetteville this past weekend to ride Go-Karts! We had a lot of fun, it was such a pretty day. He rode one time with daddy.

• Then he got to drive himself! He did SO good!

• We also had his last day in his last class a few weeks ago. He was excited to take flowers to all his teachers. You can tell he's had a hair cut since then and it was 'water day' hence the swim attire. ha!

• Waiting on Mema to come!

• Cute new Toms! I knew Lucas would like these because of the 'cheatas' but he really likes to talk about the skunks just as much. haha so funny!  

• The weather has been beautiful the past few days. I love how chilly it is in the mornings and it makes me SO excited for fall!

• But we still have one last summer hoorah before I can get into full fall mode and that is our trip to Disney and the beach coming up! Only 43 days left!!

• That's all I got! It's going to be a tough weekend for our family. I am just ready to get through it and start a new week.

Weekend Things!

I've been the worst momma lately with pictures! I just never seem to get any anymore! Need to be better at that for sure!

We had lots of summer fun this weekend!

Friday we stayed home and Luke and I played in the pool while Brent made dinner on the grill.

Brent and  I watched The Call with Halle Berry in it and it was freaky!

Saturday we all slept in almost til 11! Then got up and around and went to Chilis for lunch and then to see Despicable Me 2. It was pretty cute.

After that we ran to Target, Old Navy, and Bed Bath and Beyond to run some errands.

Then home for more pool time and grilling!

That night we watched Cloud Atlus and it was really hard for me to follow but I think Brent was ok with it.

Sunday we had parties all. day. long! It was wild and crazy and hectic!

We started the day at Eviee's 2nd birthday!

After we left there we headed to Mema's so I could drop Luke off with her. I went to get my first ever massage (which was glorious! and I may be hooked. For real!) Luke went with Mema to a Thirty One party. He had fun playing at Brayden's house. I met them there once I was done.

Then we went to Emma and Wyatt's (kids from tball) party at the country club here in Greenwood. That was so fun! The pool is huge and lots of space to spread out! Kinda considering having a party there myself!

Lots of fun! Lots of friends! And now I am exhausted and still trying to catch up from Sunday! ha!

Playing Catch Up!

I haven't said a whole lot around these parts lately but that doesn't mean we don't have a lot going on. Could be the sign of to much happening :)

•  Went to see the new Monsters Inc.

• Lots of froyo between school and swimming.

• Swimming lessons for 2 weeks with Mrs. Jayne!

• 
•  Learning so much and making new friends!

• Summer popcorn and movie nights!

• Jogging and riding bikes in the evenings.

• Complete with a good romp at the playground.

• Chloe got a hair cut!

• Some baby holding! Sweet Emmy is growing!

• Strawberry shortcake making!

•  Pool time with cousin Lilah!

• Momma got a new cup!

•  Lots of trip planning!

Such a fun summer it has turned out to be! Looking so forward to the rest!

Thursday Tidbits!

• Did you hear me say in my last post we are going to DISNEY WORLD!! I am SO excited! Well that probably is an understatement I have been utterly consumed with planning our day at Disney. Last night I had to laugh when Brent said "you know you need to start looking for things in Tampa, where we will be the majority of the week." Ha! I had kinda forgot about that part! I am trilled to go to the beach as well but there is just something so so special about taking Luke to Disney! We aren't going until the last of September so we have a few months to get everything planned out and we'll need every single day.

• Other things going on this week.....we went to tumbling class Tuesday night. I think Lucas is really liking it. He gets very excited to go and does what his teacher says for the entire hour and is happy afterward so that is reassuring. He is the tiniest one out there on his night and it is just so fun to watch!

• Next week we start swimming lessons for 2 weeks. I can't wait to see him learn more in the water! I feel so blessed that I am able to give him these actives that will hopefully enrich his life. I love nothing more than watching him learn new things.

• Brent has been gone some this week so it's just been me and little man for a few nights, last night we had a movie party complete with popcorn, we watched Up. That movie gets me every time. I have to try hard not to cry when it shows the couple going through their life and things don't go how they plan it.

• Lucas has the best tan lines where he wears his flip flop. The cutest thing!

• I can't believe I forgot to put this in my birthday post, my sister in law gave me these neat flowers! They are so pretty and I still can't figure out how they got the color on them....

• Also the other night I opened one of my bottles from the winery. This stuff is so yummy! I'm not sure I'll ever drink much of anything else. Tastes so similar to champagne :)

• And in other birthday happenings I still have my birthday dinner with my side of the fam this weekend! So looking forward to that! Then my birthday will officially be over and I have to accept the fact that I really am 26 :( ha!

• Welp that's the high points of my week so far! So happy today is already Thursday!!

Our Weekend in {a whole lot a} Pictures!

We had a pretty good weekend! I got lots of pictures and I always love when that happens :)

Thursday evening Brent had to leave for work around 5. So Luke and I were by ourselves most of the evening. Love this picture I got at bedtime.

Friday morning I had to put gas in my car. I was appalled that $75 didn't even fill her up! I never pay much attention to gas prices because I think I would cry so this caught me really off guard. We are seriously considering getting me something more 'economical' to drive to town so why not make it fun too :)

Also on Friday Lucas got to hear all about what a police man does. One of the little girls in his class dad is a K9 unit officer and he came to tell them all about his job and show them his vehicle. I love that Luke's school is so hands on and does such fun things for the kids.

Saturday night this was my dinner :) Brent was out late racing and I had fed Lucas' hours earlier so after he went to bed I had strawberry shortcake and watched some t.v. It was great!

I was looking through my sister in laws pictures and ran across this one of her and Lucas. I just don't even know what to say. He was so tiny and I remember that onsie and that blanket like it was yesterday! Heart.Breaking. 

Saturday we spent a lot of time outside, I took it as an opportunity to work on a tan! ha! Cannot wait for the wading pool to open up! So ready for some sun on these white legs!

Saturday evening and Sunday we went to Way Way's house to see him and Emmy. Lucas in completely head over heels for this baby. It is absolutely the sweetest thing I have ever witnessed. He held her for a long time on Saturday and helped feed her. And when he wasn't holding her he was asking to! I so wanted to get a picture of all three of them but goodness Waylon is on the move and won't sit still at all! ha!

 

And Sunday we spent sometime just chillin as Luke always says. Watching SpongeBob in momma's bed doesn't get any better than that :)

The Weekend and The 4th!

I have some very exciting news I will be sharing in the next couple of weeks! So my mind hasn't been able to stop to do anything, so here I am doing a quick recap of the last week!

4th of July being on Wednesday this year was kinda weird! I was off work yesterday which made it feel like Saturday but now back at work it feels like Monday! I'm just grateful the real weekend is coming up!

Saturday we went to SuperHero day at Chick fil a! Lucas had a great time and got to meet some cool guys! He loved the "Green Guy", the hulk and got his picture made with a few of them! Fun day for little boys!

Then Saturday we went to a cookout at Brent's boss's house! We had a blast! Good food, good people, and a kids paradise! Lucas loved the trampoline most! All the little boys wanted to wrestle on it so fun! They got to swim and shoot fireworks too! It was a great night for sure!

We didn't do much on Sunday I cleaned house while Lucas napped and then we went to Papaw's to see the ducks! Brent's dad's neighbor has a pond and put some ducks on it recently most are grown but there is one little baby, so cute! They love to be fed and are so neat to watch.

Luke has already been over there to see them 3 times this week!

I think he's going to be just like his momma, loves animals of all kinds.

Helping me water the flowers on Monday!

He loves playing Angry Birds on my Kindle so we do this a lot at nights!

On Tuesday night we went to my sister in laws house, she was having a party for the 4th and Alma did their fireworks that night! We had a lot of fun!

Then yesterday Brent worked on his racecar all day and Luke and I had a lazy day until dinner time, we met up with my mom and dad at Chilies then went to see the fireworks at the square with Tom, Liz, and Carter!

The boys had fun running around and playing until the show started!

Lucas and daddy ate snowcones!

Lucas loves fireworks but after about 5 minutes of them he is board with them, ha! O well we had a great time and I'm so thankful we could all be together!
