Wordless Wednesday!

I'm Not Ashamed to Admit....

• I had a 3 musketeers for breakfast and I don't feel guilty about it.






• I bought a pair of jeans from Abercrombie and Fitch yesterday, they always have been my weakness.






• I deal with insecurities daily, especially when it comes to motherhood.






• I love love love to clean my house but can never find the energy or time.






• Everything I said I wouldn't do when I became a mom, I do.






• I am desperately searching for a way to get to know Jesus better I just can't find my niche.






• I cry almost every single time I watch the show Intervention but rarely cry during any other show/movie/book. I have such a heart for people addicted to substances and I pray every time I watch it that my kids will never have to face that.






• I don't really feel like I'm where I'm supposed to be career/job wise. But hate to be picky in times like these.






• I don't HATE it when my husband is out of town for short periods of time, I miss him, but when we have a few days apart the time when he returns is so much sweeter.






• I never do any crafts in my craft room, I'd rather do them at the kitchen table where I can be with my family.






• I have a love/hate relationship with my iPhone.






• When it's just Lucas and I at home for dinner we always have "kid food".






• My mom is my best friend yet we have nothing in common.






• Lucas' toys are my nemesis.

Pool Party Weekend!

We had a fun weekend even though Brent was only there for part of it :( but that's just how things are right now.

Friday evening I took Lucas over to stay with my uncle David, Genia, and my mom at Genia's house. Her hydrangeas are beautiful! Even if they are a little sun burnt they were picture worthy, I hope mine grow to be this big!



Lucas had a great time and I went to the mall for some 'Me' time complete with a pedicure and some shopping I have not been to the mall by myself for myself in a very long time! It was fun just shopping and not 'be-ing'
a mommy for an hour.



Sent this pic to Brent and he said ' I need one of those foot things too' Ha! I laughed out loud! But yes he does, he defiantly deserves one!

Saturday Lucas, mom, and I went to lunch and then to Wal-Mart to get Lucas a little pool! He was so excited, I also got him some popsicles, the flavor ice ones, I think. Let me tell you what eating one of those brings back memories! Yummm I don't think another summer will go by without those in my freezer untill all my babies graduate highschool!

Ethan came over for a quick dip Saturday and came back Sunday for a while too! These two have so much fun together!










Cute toes! I NEVER get any color on my toenails, usually just get french but decided I would this time and I love it! So fun in the summer, I'm even loving the color at work!

Brent got home Saturday night and we spent Sunday just lounging around the house! It was so nice to have a relaxing weekend and not do much!

Wednesday is my last nursery night at church and Thursday is my Thirty-One party and after that I am done for the summer!! Only thing I'm planning is to be at work everyday, nothing else! And I especially can't wait for my week off work in August! I love spending my days with Lucas even if they are roller coaster rides ;)

Thursday Thoughts....

Just some random stuff I wanted to jot down....

• Brent has been working A LOT this past week or so and when I say a lot I mean leaves the house at 4 am and isn't home until 9 or 10 pm, but I am proud that he works so hard.




• Lucas has been doing pretty good with Brent's new work schedule I think it's been a lot harder on Brent than it has been on Luke.




• Lucas has been cracking us up lately, I feel like I am always saying that but he does! He has been going down a whole list of things he loves and will say "Who likes gummy bears?" then he will raise both hands and say "Me!" he says everything from green beans to Chloe it's just about the cutest thing!




• He is really liking his big boy bed he's slept in it once and loves to hang out in his room so much more! I got rid of a TON of toys out of his room too so even when all his toys are dumped out it doesn't look like a complete toy pit!




• I keep going back and forth in my head about starting to try to get Lucas to fall asleep and stay in his own bed at night. He currently goes to sleep in our bed almost every night, it's just been easier that way with Brent working so late. But I think I need to cut his nap down to 1 hour instead of 2 hours at school so he will be getting sleepy around 8 or so, just not sure how to break that to his teachers ;)




• I have been itching to do something "big" you know like get a new car or remodel the kitchen, just sayin.....




• I am currently fasting from facebook. Last time I tried this I didn't go though with it but I have not looked at it, besides to send a message, in 2 days. I just feel like it's not good for me. The stuff people say can really get me down so I am going to see how this goes. I will miss seeing everyone's kiddo's though....




• Friday night Lucas is going to spend the evening with his Great Uncle David and Genia! I'm excited to either get a nice long date night with Brent or have an evening to myself ;) I will say it was so so nice for them to ask me if they could have him for the night.

Well sorta.....

This is as close as Lucas would get to Chuck E. Cheese on Tuesday night and he kept calling him "the big rat" thanks to Mema! Ha!

Father's Day Weekend!

We had a very shall I say interesting eventful weekend. Poor Brent.

Friday I honestly don't remember what we did, or what we had for dinner. (isn't that sad!? what's wrong with me!?)
I did go ahead and give Brent his father's day gift because lets face it there was no hiding these!

Had to get a picture! I bet he's the only guy he knows who got cupcakes for fathers day! ha!

Saturday morning Brent had to get up bright and early 4:30 am early, for work. I was up because my allergies were going haywire! I couldn't get back to sleep so when Lucas got up and we got around we went to Chick-fil-a to play and eat breakfast. After breakfast we went and bought a new box springs for Luke's new big boy bed! Then went home for a nap before a baby shower.

After the baby shower Papaw (Brent's dad) picked Lucas up for a family reunion in Charleston and Brent and I were going to go eat dinner at Rolando's when he got home from work.

Lucas left at 3:30 and Brent would not be home until around 7 all that time at home by myself was weird! I took a nap and watched some t.v. got ready for dinner and headed to the shop to pick him up to save time on him coming all the way home. We went and ate and it was yummy! I had never been there but wow so good and the cake we had for desert was the best! We headed back to the shop to pick up his truck and headed home to get Lucas. We had a good time and got to catch up on the week.

Sunday (father's day) Brent slept in and then we all went to Popeye's for lunch (Brent's choice) half way though lunch Brent's phone rings, it's work and he's got to leave for Conway at 9 tonight, bummer. We finished lunch and go pick up the box springs I bought yesterday and headed home.

Luke's new big boy bed!

Mom and I had planned on doing a fajita dinner for the "dads" Sunday night and at the last minute we found out Brent's grandparents and uncle would be town to celebrate with us! We ended up having a houseful! It was such a fun time and Lucas and Waylon got to spend some time with their great grandparents. Too bad we had to cut it short to let Brent get on the road but that's how it goes sometimes.

The Three Musketeers!

Last night Luke and I went to the McDonald's Playplace with a few friends! The kids played for hours it was so nice!

We had originally planned to go to Chick-fil-a but they were having a daddy daughter date night and it was packed! So we went to the next best place.

In honor of Father's Day this week, one of my favorite pictures of these two.

Yard Sale Weekend!

We have been thinking about getting a new 4 legged addition to our family for about a week now. We have decided on a Caviler King Charles Spaniel, they are very similar to a Cocker but don't as big and said to be much better with kids. I found this little guy online last week and it took everything I have not to just buy him right over the phone! But they do cost a little bit more than a cocker so we are waiting a few weeks to really think it though. But isn't he the cutest! I could just eat him up with a spoon!




Saturday was Yard Sale Day! We had a great turn out and was only selling until 2pm because of rain but I did very well and only had a few boxes of stuff leftover to donate :) I was so happy!



Sunday Ethan came over to play while his mommy and daddy moved their stuff to the new house! The boys had so much fun!

They played and ran around the house the whole time, I think they both had a blast!

Last night Brent's parents came over and we grilled hamburgers and chicken and Brent made homemade french fries. Honestly to me this is the only good thing about summer. Ha!

Lucas was "hiddin" in the corner between the dresser and nightstand with a ton of pillows and a big red bag! I guess he made himself a little fort! Gosh he growing up SO fast!
