Five on Friday!

• Got this text from Brent earlier! Day date with my boys! I could not be more excited! Love a trip to the movies on a hot afternoon.  

•  Last night Luke and I played in the pool for a long time. I mean really played, hard. I was so tired by the time I got out I wasn't sure I was going to be able to do anything else the rest of the night. But it was SO fun! Took my mind off of a lot of things.

• Wednesday night I had a school board meeting and Brent was out of town so Luke got to go with me! I was so proud of him being so nice and quiet playing on his Kindle for close to an hour while I sat through the meeting. Gosh he is getting so big. I just couldn't be happier to be his momma :)

• I have to go to Target after work for some stuff, I looking forward to that!

• I've been using Wen shampoo for a month now and I am still unsure of it. I do think my hair is much more healthy but I don't think it looks any better in fact most days I think it look weighed down and even oily. So I am still on the fence. I use it for 3 or 4 days then on the 4th or 5th day I wash with regular shampoo. This has worked well so I think I will keep that up for a while longer and see what happens.

Transformation Tuesday! {on Wednesday}

I love love love simple white curtains. Mine are actually just sheets from wal-mart and I've had them for years. I have a ton of them and use them for curtains and table cloths when needed. They cost about $5 per flat sheet and I usually get the full size. Love em!

Anyway I've had my 'curtians' hung like this for a while but then a Pottery Barn magazine came in.

And I saw this. Plain white panel curtains hung from clip rings. I have a ton of these rings so I got to work!

Now I have this! Much much better I think! Love how there is more fabric to pool at the bottom and love the less formal look with the rings.

*sorry for the horrible slant I was on the floor taking this one! ha!

This transformation cost me $0 I already had everything but even if you didn't it's a cheap way to cover windows.

What I'm Lovin Wednesday! {Pinky Edition}

Can I just say how ready I am for spring and summer!? I am about to go crazy with all this cold and rain and no sun! I am so ready to spend my afternoons outside and get my sunroof open!




Found these beauties on the Toms website last week and just had to have them! Granny flowers are my jam and I'm thinking these were made for me! Can't wait for them to get here but I'm thinking I'll be waiting even longer for the weather to warm up so I can wear them.....

Have you heard they brought back the original Herbal!? I for one was SO excited! I've thought more than once over the years how I wish I could find this I just hope it's not a temporary thing......

What I'm Wearing Wednesday! {Pintrest Inspired}

I love this outfit and thought I nailed it pretty good from the pintrest picture! Love Love Love my Evy's Tree wrap. I bought it a few years ago off Etsy but now they have their own website. It's so comfy and warm and perfect for cold days at home or the office.

I've GOT to get a better picture taking spot! ha!

What I'm Wearing Wednesday!

I have NO intention on doing this every week but since I've been taking pictures of my outfits so much lately (I have no idea why?) and I've always wanted to link up with the Pleated Poppy I thought what will it hurt :)

Last week out to dinner with a friend.

My walking attire, I'm proud to say I have been walking for a week now and am so so happy to have that outlet again!

Heading out the door for work today, Brent took this picture and I felt like a big ol dork! I'll have to work with him on his angle or just teach Luke to take em :)

Best part of this picture is those curls! Wowza!

Hair Day!

I've had so much on my mind lately between the baby stuff and Brent's job offer my head has been spinning, so I guess I've decided to take it out on my hair ;)

I had the 'urge' to start curling my hair out of no where. My hair is naturally curly as in lots of waves but lots of frizz if I just let it go. I had been wearing it like that for a couple of months because I just haven't felt good. On my good days I would straighten it. But I am so over straight hair but I just didn't know how to 'fix' it without using my beloved Chi. ha!

Any who so I have been seeing a lot of girls with this natural curly look that I just adored but didn't want to put forth the effort. One day last week I plugged in my curling iron and just went with it! It came out cute and I was happy! I sprayed her down with some cheap ol hairspray and went on with my day. My curls didn't even make it to the office! Once I looked in the mirror at work all I had left was a slight wave! Ok so that didn't work.

That night I asked on FB about some good tips to keep curl in. I got a few responses but the one that stuck out was BedHead hairspray, maybe I just needed a quality spray? So I did the only thing I knew to do, run to WalMart and see if they had it, well no they didn't. They did have a few BedHead products and one was a hairspray but it was in a pump not an aerosol. I bought it anyway.

The next day got up blew dry my hair, curled it, and used the new hairspray. I was better but still didn't hold too long.

I tried a few other sprays that WalMart had because I have no patience I guess, and still wasn't impressed.

So while I was at the mall this weekend with Luke I stopped at JCPenny and bought the BedHead Masterpiece spray that was mentioned on FB. I also watched Megan Tree's hair video to get some tips!

And so far I am loving my 'new' look!

First day with BedHead hairspray!

Yesterday I went to get my hair touched up and a trim, I added a bit more blond to it and she straightened it for me.

Here I am today with my blond curls!

Loving how soft it looks and feels, this hairspray is so good, my hair bounces and smells amazing too!

Today I am going to Ulta to grab some Paul Mitchell Fast Form Gel that was in the video, says it commits your style to memory, umm awesome! We'll see how that works!

I've never been one to spend money or time on hair products so this is quite unusual for me but I'm having some mindless fun and getting great hair days out of the deal!

I've caught the fever......

yes friends the Bieber fever

I know last week was all "Oh I feel so old" and all that with turning 25 but I guess 17 year old me isn't as far away as I thought!

I've honestly never thought much about "the Bieber", I remember one local radio station was giving away tickets a long time ago and I could have swore they were saying Justin Beaver, and I remember thinking wow how unfortunate! ha!

I did however find his song "Girlfriend" to be pretty catchy but I resisted the download on itunes, telling myself that's kid stuff but always hoping to catch it on the radio :)

But a few days ago I was browsing in itunes and came across one of his newest ones (?I think)

"as long as you love me" and I could not resist anymore!

So yes I am jamming out to Justin Bieber, hate me :)

This paired with my recent reads of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" series and watching the first episode of the last season of Teen Mom last night (which was heart wrenching), I'm feeling real in the know today!

I might me older but I'm not old, yet.....



What I'm Loving {weekend edition}

 I'm loving keeping my Thurday afternoon's wide open to spend time with friends!

Desiree and I went to the mall this week and Luke and I got daddy a cookie!

I'm loving getting all my summer clothes out! Brent and I went on a date on Friday night and I really liked my outfit so I had to share :)

I'm loving this little guy and he's loving his new baseball shoes that daddy got him!

I'm loving my new bedside lamp from the good ol TJ Maxx, I seem to forget how much I LOVE that place, which may be a good thing!

I'm loving that Lucas can crawl up in a chair and fall asleep watching cartoons, so sweet!

I'm loving this sweet brown ball of fur, O my gosh! He has turned out to be the sweetest thing. His chewing has calmed way down and he's almost completly potty trained! He loves to cuddle with anyone human, dog or kitty and hasn't shown to be the least bit grumpy (Corben had a grumpy streak so we kinda thought it was a cocker thing but now I think maybe not?) He has his last puppy appointment today and I am kinda sad.

I'm loving that we finally got around to re-mulching (is that what it's called?) the flower bed! My hydrangea's are getting out of control and I am also loving that!

I love music and with the discovery of itunes I have really been listening to a ton lately. I love all kinds of music from old country to rap to christian to folk music and all things in between, I am such a 90's kid and love everything from that time too. I love it all.

I find a lot of the time I get really stuck on a song for a week or so and play it over and over again (is anyone else like this above the age of 5? ha!)

I LOVE these things! This year it has become a tradition to have at least one of these sitting out for the season. Luke shares my love for yummy popcorn and my mom got us a tin from the Popcorn Co. so we can have good popcorn for years to come!
